The Wakefield Spoke Network Inc. was established in 1999 as a shared initiative for the advancement of crucial services and infrastructure needed for long-term sustainability of communities across the Yorke Peninsula, Lower North, Barossa and Gawler regions.
The Network operates as an advocacy group to and from state and federal government agencies, to support the work of the sub-regional Spoke groups in each of the three regions. The Network acts as a central voice, facilitating funding initiative and information sharing on vital issues affecting our communities.
The Network is comprised of human service providers, local government agencies and regional development organistations - and continues to grow in membership. Participants from both private and public sectors bring to the group significant experience in regional planning, as well as expertise in fields as diverse as health, community care, education, disability, housing, aboriginal affairs, transport, leisure and more.
